Ok we all know what a referees whistle is right. but we don't know much about it we all think it was just here since the time of the dinosawers.  if you thoght the referees whistle was here since the time of the dinosawers you were wrong , the whistle  was invented by a man  called JOSEPH  HUDSON Joseph Hudson was born in 1848 and died in 1930

lost in time

 Wosh , on my left I felt indigo's hand in Mine  And Leahs is in my right 

    hand. crack. I was Lying on some hard dry ground. I wanted to get 

   up but I could not because my body aked all over, “ leah…. Indigo?”

I groaned “ we are  ok” they both said  I opened my eyes just a little bit   and I saw leah and  indigo lying beside me. I sat  up and looked around. We were in a clearing of a grassland. I thought ,then said to my friends “we are looking for tumpus and he is looking  for the amulet” “so we just need to find the amulet before he finds it?” Leah asked, getting up“ Yes,” I answered.  “ he's properly already left because he knows the 

   amulet is not in this time”  said indigo getting up “we need to find the cave painting to get out of here” I said.

We walked for a couple of long tiring hours until indigo collapsed onto the ground in tiredness “indigo please, we need to keep going” I begged . Suddenly indigo disappeared (she disappeared because she did not want to be in this story ) “guess it's just us now” leah said sadly. “ yeah” I said in replied

Except  it was in knots it would take 100 years to Untangle. Pointed an sharp and ugle sphere at us as if we were a You type of animal that they wanted to hunt “let's go” I said “ good idea” we scampered of   One of them shoted something that sounded like gooobillledoma and they started running like mad after us ,ponting there spears; they were definitely going for the kill.  

“I bet you 2$ the cave painting is in that cave” I shouted pointing at a cave. “ ok I’ll give you the money once we are back in the real world” Leah shouted at me “ok” I shouted back ,we scrambled into the dark and rocky cave……..

Suddenly  we stepped into a bright light “ wow,I didn't expect this in a cave” Indigo  whispered loudly  “ovcores you didn't expect this in a cave” siad a  voice that sounded like Voldemort from Harry potter “are you voldemort” I asked stupidly I knew it wasn't  voldemort;  because I knew Voldemort was dead.  Harry potter killed him.  “No I am….. TEMPUS  hahahaaa” he finished with a cold laugh. “We need to run for it” leah shouted “Ok” we said and we dived head first into a cave painting.

We created colourful shapes that were rotated 4 times.

A shape has rotational symmetry when it can be rotated and it still looks the same. The order of rotational symmetry of a shape is the number of times it can be rotated around a full circle and still look the same.

What I liked about the book

I like that everything went wrong and you didn't know what was going to happen next.I like that it shows that girls can do Hard things.I also like that everything goes wrong but they can fix it even if they do not know how. I also like that they mentioned places I knew.

They are going sailing on a night race to kawau.  Jeremy gets a cut on his head at school.  So he can not sali. Terry, who was supposed to help, did not turn up. So it was just mum,dad and 3 kids.They go into a  big unexpected storm Everything goes wrong Dad gets knocked out with the Spinnaker Pole because the Spinnaker pole hit him in the head. so it is just sam and mum.Jane wakes up and they arrived at banquet Bay then sam and Jane go out on the dinghy to get to there and go for help and a doctor. In the end they got help they sailed to kawau IslandJust around the corner from were they were.And they also unexpectedly met grandfather

Then I sewed the top of it creating  a tunnel And I freaded the elastek through.thenI Hemed the bottom and Iron it .

And it was all done  

the far north speech competition

 on thursday I went to kaitaia for the far north speech competition. I was really nervous.and guess what I won!  I won a 🏆a bag of things and also a cirtificate.😁

how to play ki-o-rahi

 what is it

ki-o-rahi is a game from new zealand , it is a mix of  rugby,netball and ripper. at Oruaiti school whaea gena has been tething us .{ this  game can be played inside or out.

 what you need

this game requires a lot of things and you need all the things to play it properly. these are

pen and paper vs devices amirias speech

 It is quite obvious that most people like devices instead of pen and paper.  but in my opinion I think that too much time on a electronic devices can damage your body.  Do you know why ? I also don't like devices for other reasons too. 

I will tell you there are many reasons from headaches to school work .  I know that people not only like devices but do school work on them . Which means you are on a device for longer time a day.   

  

Do you know how a device can damage your body ?

There are lots of ways a device can damage your body, it mostly affects the head it is a  thermal effect, which means it raises Body  temperature  and causes health problems such as headaches.This is the light which is emitted from our phones, tablets and computers and, sadly, it has been found to have negative effects on our  health.Usually when I'm on earth device I get stress out because of the heat.

You can eat paper but you can't eat a device !   

Do you use a computer for school work ? 

It won't help Your school work. If you were to write a speech On a device There is a spell check Lots of people use spell check is  Spell check  identifies and corrects misspelled words. It also allows you to search a document yourself for words you know you've misspelled .I remember Finding out about Spell cheek First I Thought  it was really cool Then it didn't help my spelling Stop using spell cheek and it helped a lot    

 A device can get  ruined badly there are many ways a device can get ruined The first way is if you spill something on it like food or a drink You can even do it do it accidentally Like knocking  a water bottle over onto the Device If something is spilled onto a device And gets into the device It can ruin the device . it would not be good because a device cost lots of money. You would be furious   If you dropped your device and it broke. There are a lot of different ways a device can brake.

So make sure you don't break your device

There is another thing called blue light  

is something you get from my device  and it messes up your sleeping pattern So don't go on a device too late at night! If you do not want too much blue light. 

 You should wear blue lens glasses. My friend Indigo Has blue lens glasses so she does not Get too much blue light. When I saw Indigos Blue lens glasses I thought they Were very interesting. I tried them on and it was Very different. The blue lens  made my eyes see the Screen more yellow than normal . 

Devices are made to  suck you in more and more in the end you will come Addicted And if you come addicted to a device You can get lots of headaches computer and you need glasses .You won't get better at your spelling And you won't be able to get to sleep easily Because of the blue light.  Because of addiction, this brings me to my main point to not go on your device as often as you normally would, I hope you change your mind because of my speech.  What do you like now? Pen and Paper or a device?

The lantern festival

 The lantern festival is a tradition in China ,And all over the world.  New Zealand there's one in Wellington. At the Wellington  Lantern festival there is dancing People Making music and over China traditions .Last week on Friday whara jorja Open a brown cardboard box inside the box There was some Resene  Paints A piece of paper and some reusable Plastic that had some animals on them one had a frog a tuatara and a gego these are all endangered in nz. On monday we started panting them.

 yesterday we went to puketi forest I went in my mums car it was a long ride when we got there the bus

was already there . fest we went down a little track we stopped for morning tea  then we went to another track.

this is barney he is a brown bare . hes a like a cat that is in water ! he is afraid of his reflection . one day he met a rat " hello " said the rat "  aah! " screamed the bear  and he ran away "come back! " said the rat 'but the bear did not look back.300 year's later the rat toke a stroll in the forest  were he met the rat once again the rat fond the bear behind  a tree " you don't need to be afraid again " said the rat quietly  the bear screamed but did not run away and after that they became best Friends.

 I can see a big creamy light yellow scone. It's so hard not to eat the scone because it looks so yummy!  On top of the scone there is a sea of jam as dark as a moonless night and on top there was some mouth watering cream on the top.

I can smell strong jam and a small tint of cream on the top. 

 

Edmonds Scone recipe

INGREDIENTS

• ​3 cups Edmonds standard flour

• 6 tsp Edmonds baking powder             

• ¼ tsp salt                                            

• extra Meadow Fresh milk

• 75g butter

• 1 to 1½ cups Meadow Fresh milk, approximately

METHOD

1. ​Preheat the oven to 220ºC. Grease or flour a baking tray.
   
   

2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
   
   

3. Add the milk and quickly mix with a round-bladed table knife to a soft dough. For light and tender scones the mixture should be quite soft and a little sticky. Scrape the dough onto the floured baking tray and flour the top.
   
   

4. Working quickly, pat the dough out to 2cm thickness and with a floured knife cut it into 12 even-sized pieces, then separate the scones to allow 2cm space between them. Brush the tops with milk.
   
   

5. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Place on a wire rack to cool, wrapped in a clean tea
